I received a copy of the book yesterday and it is hauntingly beautiful. At 444 pages, I am almost intimidated by putting my life out there, but the viral success of the story on the WattPad platform and the amount of emails and messages asking me to please finish, I realized that there is a much deeper message, a point, or a red string (as a writer would say) that pulls the reader through this story that needs to be made. I will give you a hint without any spoilers and it is this:
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
Isaiah 61:2-3
I don't know what you are going through. I don't know your story. But, I do know that if I can get through the loss of this child, the rape and murder of this child, there is hope for you. Please never give up. Please know there are people who care. I love you. God loves you.
A portion of the proceeds of this work will be donated to charities who assist victims of violent crime.
